Extremely rare and very fine quality very large Palissy ware spider crab charger by Alfred Renoleau, one of the greatest exponents of this type of pottery. The spider crab motif is rarely found and unusually this piece concentrates on a single subject rather than an assemblage of various creatures more commonly found in Palissy ware.
