Sailor's ship & flag woolwork

A wonderfully original finely stitched sailor's woolwork in original condition. Still under its original glass and having never been removed from its original frame, this woolwork features the rarely seen standard of the Royal Marines as well as the Union Jack, Red Ensign and the Royal Standard. The centre features a ship's portrait surmounted by a crown and at its feet the shamrock, thistle and clover. English c1850
