A very fine Minton majolica 'gundog' motif game dish, well modelled, complete with rarely found original liner. The basketweave effect top decorated with a gundog, cobalt blue net and gun atop a bed of green ferns, the similar base adorned with holly branches and berries, with cartouches of a leaping hare and of a rising pheasant, with lion's paw feet and cane effect handles, all in outstanding condition.
