Rare set of four foxhunting oil paintings by E.B.Herberte.

A rare set of four 'foxhunting' paintings by the renowned and sought after artist Edward Benjamin Herberte, who specialised in this type of subject. Working mainly for private patrons, his paintings capture the atmosphere of the hunt with particular vividness. Herberte lived in Warwickshire and many of his hunting scenes feature the Warwickshire Hunt. His work is always decorative, interesting and highly competent. He gained a reputation not only for being a fine painter of horses, but also for his landscapes. All signed and dated 1883
