An impressive, highly decorative and very functional pair of large majolica wall pockets featuring a plethora of freshly caught glistening fish decorated in vivid glazes, set against a colourful background of bulrushes, lilies and fishing nets. Made by Antoine Gustave de Bruyn, a Belgian who set up his workshop in the town of Fives, a satellite town of Lille in France. French c1890
